Dear Mr Dunn, Staff Clarins,
Hello my name is Trent I am writing to say thank you to Tamaki College for giving
the year eights of Room 7 the opportunity to go on the Canterbury Navy Base.
the year eights of Room 7 the opportunity to go on the Canterbury Navy Base.
On the Navy base I learnt a lot about how some parts of the base works.
I also learnt that the navy base helps cities and the Pacific Islands if there is a disaster.
They help them by giving them different supplies like wood, food, clothing, water,
medical supplies and shelter.

On the base I enjoyed the delicious food that the chiefs made.
They are very lucky they get cooked meals everyday.

Cricket
Today 1st of November room 7 went to the hall to learn a few skills in cricket. We learnt how to over hand the ball, how to catch the ball with one hand and how to accurately throw the ball to our classmates. We also played a few games. one of the games we played was were there was two teams on each side of the hall throwing balls to each other. The ball must have been over the knees or else you would be disqualified. If you caught the ball with one hand a player from your team that has gotten out could come back into the game.
I really enjoyed kiwi sports today.

Today in cooking Simeon and I made chicken.
We put the raw chicken in a pot filled with water. We left it on the stove for 10-15 minutes.
We then layed the chicken out on a stray and put our seasoning and sauce on top of the chicken.
